CELSIUS is an outdoor thermometer web app indicating the current temperature wherever you are. Allow geolocation, and CELSIUS will show how warm or cold it is at your place. Buttons on the right allow for both remeasuring and toggling between Celsius and Fahrenheit. The app uses HTML geolocation to determine your current location and retrieves the temperature data from the Open-Meteo network. Longitude and latitude values are displayed in the bottom left corner (in degrees, click or tap to toggle format).
The app selects the highest-resolution model available for each location. In Central Europe, France, Switzerland, the UK, and North America, high-resolution models at 1–2 km are used, global models at 9–11 km cover the remaining parts of the world. The open meteo data come from DWD Germany, NOAA U.S., Météo-France, ECMWF, UK Met Office, KMA Korea, JMA Japan, MeteoSwiss, MET Norway, GEM Canada, BOM Australia, CMA China, KNMI Netherlands, DMI Denmark, ItaliaMeteo, and GeoSphere Austria.
