Artcast
about
Artcast is a weather-responsive art gallery featuring the work of Vincent van Gogh (1853–1890). Five of his paintings are selected according to the current weather, thus creating an ever-changing exhibition shaped by the weather conditions outside. Artcast determines your current location and retrieves local weather data from the Open-Meteo network. Tap or click a painting to open or close it, and drag to explore the gallery.
All the paintings were created in the south of France (Arles, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Auvers-sur-Oise) and date from 1888 to 1890, the final three years of van Gogh’s life. The images have been taken from Wikimedia Commons and are in the public domain.
